The Ultimate Disney DVD Fansite confirms their news of last week that this year’s wave of the Walt Disney Treasures DVD sets, housed in individually numbered tin boxes, is being pushed back to next May, 2004. “Don’t expect an official reason, but the prevailing wisdom seems to be that there’s been a huge increase in demand for these sets [and] the five month delay will allow the studio to increase the print count”. Although some online stores (including Disney’s own site) still list a December 2 release, those with pre-orders at Amazon will find that they are now listing a May 6th shipping date.
