E! Online reports that the Disney sold 3 million copies of The Lion King in its first two days of release. Most surprising was the fact that DVDs accounted for 92% of initial sales, rare stats for a “children’s” title but a growing trend. The original VHS release remains the best selling video of all time having sold 32 million copies.
