The forum at the Big Cartoon Database reports that beginning March 26, 2004 Warner Bros. feature films will have Looney Tunes shorts attached to them and that there is also a new Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote short entitled The Whizzard of Ow that can be seen now at Wal-Mart and Supercenters stores. Follow the link for more information. This should be good news for animation fans. I always liked the idea of a short being shown before the main feature and the practice has largely died out in the last two or three decades, with only a very small handful (ten that I can think of) of Disney, Warner Bros., Pixar, and Jay Ward shorts (and Sony’s The Chubb Chubbs) being shown in the last ten years. In addition, but not counted as part of this new series, the Tweety And Sylvester cartoon Museum Scream will debut before the Back In Action movie out next week!
