Here’s a couple of news items on a couple of upcoming live-action features based on animated characters. Even though the first film has yet to open, producer Brian Grazer is pointing towards a second The Cat In The Hat movie. Set to shoot next summer, The Cat In The Hat Comes Back already has the princpal actors lined up, and will be again based on Dr Seuss’ own book story.

Scooby Doo was another film that made the jump from animation to almost live-action, with a CGI lead. A follow-up to the surprise hit, Scooby 2: Monsters Unleashed will appear next March 26th. For those who can’t wait, MTV online just posted an exclusive first look.
