Ever dream of paying $149 a night for seven nights to fall asleep while staring at SpongeBob SquarePants wallpaper? How about having Jimmy Neutron valet park your car or Dora the Explorer service your room while you are out with your family during the day enjoying the sights and sounds of Orlando, FL? Well dream no longer because Nickelodeon is partnering with Holiday Inn® Hotels & Resorts to “develop the first Nick-themed hotel,” which is projected to open in the first quarter of 2005.
$20 million will be spent to transform an existing Holiday Inn hotel “to make it even more kid friendly, with Nick-decorated bedrooms for the kids, complete with bunk or twin beds and a TV and video-console system; two sprawling pools with waterslides and flumes; poolside game areas and game room; wake-up calls from Nick stars and daily character breakfasts; a food court; and live entertainment featuring Nick characters and interactive stage entertainment.”
So, if you ever wished for The Fairly OddParents to call you at 5:30 in the morning or CatDog to guard the pool while your children are splashing in the sun, your chance is not far off.
