Variety reports (via ComingSoon.net for those of us without a Variety subscription!) that Etan Cohen has made a seven-figure overall deal with Fox Television that “keeps him on as a writer and co-exec producer of King of the Hill for two seasons and will allow him to create a pilot”. They also reveal that the live-action comedy film 3001, written by Cohen and King of the Hill creator Mike Judge, is about to begin production. “Judge will direct the film, about a regular guy who wakes up 1,000 years in the future and finds the world so dumbed down that he is its smartest inhabitant”.
