FOX TV has four new animated shows planned for the 2004-2005 season, and Variety reports that one is based on radio host Phil Hendrie, the “critically-hailed KFI-AM gabber known for his ‘theater of the mind’-style show”. (Animation Magazine has the info for those without a Variety subscription.) Steve Levitan, Phil Lord, and Chris Miller are signed to create, write, and produce the as yet unnamed half-hour animated comedy series, while Phil Hendrie himself will serve as co-executive producer. The series focuses on a newly famous, but controversial talkshow host who moves to a gated suburban community with his family. [paid subscription required for Variety and Animation Magazine]
