Studioghibli.net has an image from the acclaimed director’s next project. The picture appears in the official Studio Ghibli’s 2004 calendar.

The film is based on a story by Diana Wynne Jones, which takes place in the town of Market Chipping, in the land of Ingary, where anything can happen. The lead heroine is Sophie, a young woman who has chosen to stay and take care of her father’s hatshop. Living an unadventurous life, her world is turned upside down when the ‘Witch of the Waste’ comes to buy a bonnet. Displeased, she turns Sophie into an old woman. Setting out on her journey, Sophie visits the Wizard Howl in his ever-moving Castle.

The film is slated for a summer 2004 release in Japan.
