This is a bit late notice for several of you, but I just wanted to post an alert about the Brother Bear soundtrack, released a week ago. I’ve read a good bit of grumbling about how the CD doesn’t contain Phil Collins’ rendition of “Great Spirits” – just Tina Turner’s. Well, I happened to have the dumb luck of buying my copy at Best Buy, and guess what? It’s on there! As it turns out, Phil Collins’ version “Great Spirits” is offered as an exclusive bonus track to Best Buy customers.
I’m sorry that this was noted so late, but the advertizing for this track, as far as I’ve seen, has been very little, to none at all. Even the website is nothing but confusing, returning no less than 3 different results for the soundtrack, none of which even list the tracks correctly, much less note the exclusive 13th track. The only place I’ve seen it noted was on a small sticker on the CD’s wrapping when I got it. Well, anyway – at least the word is out now. Try getting this CD at Best Buy, if you can – the Phil Collins version is worth the trip! I enjoy it more than the Tina Turner version, in any case.
