A little light reading for you on this rather slow news weekend: Amid Amidi’s Animation Blast posted some early thoughts on Pixar’s new short Boundin’: “[It’s] humor-light: inoffensive, bordering on sappy, so utterly charming and sweet that it makes you feel dirty watching it. This is some of the sharpest and funniest computer animation I’ve seen, no lethargic CG timing here. When Pixar is good, they are GOOD, and in the current world of CG character animation, one would be hard-pressed to find any studio that approaches their league”.

As we reported last week, look for Boundin’ to appear at animation and short film festivals over the next year, before an eventual release with The Incredibles next November.
