This just in from the Academy, 21 animated films could potentially be Oscar nominees. The Hollywood Reporter has a nice list that breaks the films down by animation style. CGI topped the list, along with handful of foreign traditionally animated films. What makes histroy, though, are the number of stop-motion pictures up for award and more than one could make the short list. Also included is the list for potential animated shorts.
