Disney and Pixar scored at the box office in a big way this weekend with their new movie Toy Story 3 earning an estimated $109 million this weekend, according to Box Office Mojo. In addition to being the best Pixar opening to date, it was also the second highest opening weekend ever for an animated feature, behind only the debut of 2007’s Shrek the Third. Many are now expecting the film to have a shot at beating Finding Nemo, which is currently the studio’s highest grossing movie to date with $339 million.
