Despite opening to “only” $70 million last weekend–less than many in the industry were expecting–, DreamWorks Animation’s Shrek Forever After is proving to be fairly leggy. With a drop of just 38%, the movie saw a second weekend gross of $43 million, enough to beat anticipated titles such asĀ Sex and the City 2 and Disney’s Prince of Persia. Currently sitting with $133 million in the bank, the sequel should see more decentĀ numbers coming in tomorrow thanks to the Memorial Day holiday.
