Deadline reports that the producers of The Twilight Saga are all set to adapt the popular cartoon character Babar for the big screen. Temple Hill partners Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey have made a deal with rights holders Nelvana and The Clifford Ross Company for the family comedy Babar: The Adventures of Badou, a live action/CG hybrid. Babar first appeared in the 1931 French book by Jean de Brunhoff, and was continued by his son Laurent after his death in 1937. Babar has seen over 30,000 publications in 19 languages.
