The Spanish animated series Hero Kids, produced by Alma Ata International Pictures and recently acquired by the public Spanish television TVE, is set to premiere at the 2005 Cartoon Forum. Hero Kids selected for 2005 Cartoon Forum

IMAGEN-PROMOCIONAL[1] (775k image)The Spanish animated series Hero Kids, produced by Alma Ata International Pictures, will take part in the 16th edition of Cartoon Forum, the most important and prestigious animation fair in Europe. The event will be held in the city of Kolding, Denmark, between the September 21 – 24, 2005. 

The first season of Hero Kids, containing 26 chapters running 26 minutes each, has been recently acquired by TVE Television Española. The action spots on the young students of a superhero school, directed by the mindless Director Kirby and the strict Miss Tesmeiker.
 
Victor Gomez, co-director of the series states, “Igloo, Bunsen and Breeze are the outstanding students of [Hero Kids], and also the main characters of the series, surrounded by a good number of class mates, teachers, and, of course, villains: the most important of them is Doctor Fusion, the great hidden threat under Mastodompolis, [the] city where the action takes part”.

Co-Director Julian Clemente notes, “From a funny and demystifying point of view, [Hero Kids] treats friendship, comradeship, self improvement, or the endless fight between good and evil with unique looks that will amaze kids between 7 and 12, but will also catch the teens and adults attention”. 

Hero Kids is produced by Alma Ata International Pictures. The series has already obtained the interest of many other production companies and both local and foreign broadcasters. Once again, the premiere will take place at the 2005 Cartoon Forum in Kolding, Denmark, from September 21 – 24, 2005. 

Rafael Valentin-Pastrana, executive producer of the series, explains, “Alma Ata hopes to start with the full production this autumn, once the necessary agreements for the complete financing are closed. In that sense, the Cartoon Forum’s selection has been providential for the series”.
