The weekend box office may have been dominated by The Secret Life of Pets and Ghostbusters, but it was Finding Dory which crossed a major milestone, officially becoming the biggest domestic animated film of all time, according to Box Office Mojo[1]. The Pixar sequel has made $445 million to date, beating the $441 million earned by Shrek 2, which held the record for more than twelve years. Of course, this only counts for domestic numbers, as the biggest animated movie of all time worldwide remains Disney’s Frozen.
