Frozen retakes box office crown in 7th week

Frozen has retaken the top spot at the box office this past weekend with $20.7 million, according to the AP[1]. “It’s extremely rare for a film to lead the box office in its seventh weekend, a feat accomplished by the likes of Avatar… It’s rarer still for a film to retake the box-office lead so late in its theatrical run.” The film has made almost $300 million domestically and over $600 million worldwide, which is closing in on the The Lion King — the current highest grossing film from Disney Animation Studios.
