Disney officially announces production on Moana

Disney has officially announced that production is now underway on a new animated fairy tale, Moana, ComingSoon.net[1] is reporting. Although rumors about the movie surfaced on the internet shortly after Frozen’s release last year, the film was confirmed by the studio today, with John Musker and Ron Clements (The Little Mermaid, Treasure Planet, The Princess and the Frog) sitting in the director’s chairs. “Creating Moana is one of the great thrills of our career,” Clements said. “It’s a big adventure set in this beautiful world of Oceania.” Moana, which will center around its titular character and a demi-god going on a quest to find a fabled island, is set for release sometime in late 2016.
