Dawn Taubin new head of DreamWorks Animation marketing

Perhaps it happened because of the disappointing returns from Turbo, or perhaps it was going to happen regardless, but Dawn Taubin is the new head of marketing at DreamWorks Animation, Deadline[1] is reporting. Taubin has a pretty strong track record going for her, including a number of the Harry Potter movies, Happy Feet, The Help, War Horse, the upcoming 300: Rise of an Empire and Christopher Nolan’s Batman films. “Dawn’s vast experience in marketing franchise films with a global reach is a perfect fit as we continue to diversify and expand our brand,” said DreamWorks Animation honcho Jeffery Katzenberg. “Her passionate and knowledgable leadership will be integral to the company’s growth, and I could not be more thrilled to welcome Dawn to the DreamWorks team.” Thanks to “ShyViolet” over at the Animated Views forum for the head’s up!
