Get ready for live-action Cruella…again

Maleficent hasn’t even come out yet, but Disney is apparently banking on it being a hit, as they already have a live-action Cruella De Vil movie in development, says The Hollywood Reporter[1]. The villain, of course, was the cause of terror for dogs everywhere in the original animated 101 Dalmatians, its 1996 live-action remake, the live-action remake’s 2000 sequel 102 Dalmatians, and the direct-to-video 101 Dalmatians II: Patch’s London Adventure. Glenn Close, of course, played the baddie in the live-action films, and will serve as an executive producer if the movie ever becomes a reality. For the time being, the live-action film–simply called Cruella–is without a release date.
