Trailer for The Snow Queen now online (no, not that one…)

A new trailer for The Snow Queen has made its debut online over at ComingSoon.net[1]…and no, it’s not a first look at Disney’s upcoming Frozen. Instead, it’s an (apparently quite loose?) adaptation of the Hans Christian Anderson story from Wizart Animation, one of “the fastest growing animation studios in Russia,” according to the press release. Timur Bekmambetov of Wanted fame has signed on as a co-producer of the film, although it has yet to find an American distributor yet. The plot finds a young girl teaming up with a wise-cracking troll (just like in the original Anderson fairy tale, obviously) who used to work for the Snow Queen, an evil witch who has turned the girl’s brother into a statue.
