John Textor, CEO of Digital Domain, has blacklisted himself in the animation community. Cartoon Brew[1] has been following the story about how “Textor’s comments, which were made last November but leaked online last week, center around Textor telling investors that 30% of Digital Domain’s workforce would be comprised of ‘student labor that’s actually paying us for the privilege of working on our films.'” A follow up post[2] tells about Textor’s “compensation” and Jeffrey Katzenberg [3] indirectly addressed Textor’s scandal by saying it is good business strategy to honor employees.
