Winnie the Pooh opens

Disney’s Winnie the Pooh opens today in 2,405 theatres according to Box Office Mojo[1]. The film is a hit with the critics earning an impressive 100% rating with the Top Critics at Rotten Tomatoes[2]. Showing on a relatively small number of screens and going head to head with the last Harry Potter won’t do the film any favors. Box Office Mojo[3] projects a modest $11.5 million opening weekend while BoxOffice.com[4] predicts a similar $10 million.
