The Muppets are Back in the Advertising Game

[1]With The Muppets opening in less than a month, we’re starting to see more and more of them on the TV and Internet. Every time you turn around, the Muppets are endorsing a new product. The newest commercials where our beloved puppets appear are for Alamo Rent-a-Car with Fozzie[2] and Rowlf[3] and Kermit adds his face to the Wonderful Pistachios[4] campaign. Fast Company[5] also runs down how The Muppets have tried to stay alive in the past two decades through advertising and their movies, categorizing them as faults and how they’re being fixed. The experienced Muppet fan will argue with some of Fast Company’s remarks, but just toss a bag of Munchos[6] in there and a pre-Sesame Street Cookie Monster will solve the rest. The Muppets is in theaters November 23.
