Superman gets cast

Look, up in the sky! It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s…news that director Zack Snyder has just announced who will play the Man of Steel in his upcoming Superman movie reboot. Superhero Hype![1] is reporting that Henry Cavill will don the cape in the film that is set for a Christmas 2012 release. Cavill is a relative unknown, but will appear this fall in the upcoming movie Immortals. Snyder is expected to start production on the film as soon he’s finished with his current project, the action movie Sucker Punch, which is due in theaters this spring.
