Rio wins another weekend

Thanks to kids being out of school on Good Friday, 20th Century Fox’s Rio was able to win its second weekend in a row with a solid take of $26 million, Box Office Mojo[1] is reporting. Many were expecting the film to be beaten by the release of the latest Tyler Perry comedy Madea’s Big Happy Family. So far, Rio has a domestic total of $80 million, but it’s also continuing to be a very strong performer overseas, with a foreign total of over $200 million.
