Go Captain Planet Movie!

Ted Turner created Captain Planet and the Planeteers to teach children of the 1990s about the dangers of polluting. Time[1] has an article, “With Hollywoods Powers Combined, a ‘Captain Planet’ Movie Will Hit Theaters” (have to love the title) that explains how Cartoon Network has signed a deal with Don Murphy and his company Angry Fireworks (the Transformers producer) to make a live action version of the campy, environmentalist cartoon. No news on whether the actor playing Captain Planet will sport the eco-green mullet, but keep your fingers crossed.
