DreamsWorks Says No to Paramount

[1]We reported a couple weeks ago about how DreamWork’s distribution contract with Paramount Studios was ending. Paramount tried to renegotiate the deal, but the final words are “no dice.”[2] In response, Paramount is opening their own animation studios, similar to when Disney planned to open Circle 7 if the Pixar deal went sour. Will Paramount’s new studio succeed? Who will DreamWorks use to distribute their movies next? Cartoon Brew also has a list of current features in production at DreamWorks[3].
