Shatner to host Annie Awards

ASIFA-Hollywood[1] has announced that William Shatner will host the 37th Annual Annie Awards[2]. Antran Manoogian, president of the organization, said “ASIFA-Hollywood is honored to have William Shatner host this year’s Annie Awards. We are looking forward to Mr. Shatner’s unique and commanding presence presiding over the show.” Shatner is an Emmy and Golden Globe-winning actor, director, and producer, and a pop culture icon stemming from his work as Captain Kirk on Star Trek. He has lent his voice to several animated projects including Over the Hedge and The Wild. The Annies will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2010, at UCLA’s Royce Hall in Los Angeles CA.
