May the force be with you in 3D

The Hollywood Reporter[1] has cleared up rumors that George Lucas would be bringing his six-film Star Wars saga to 3D screens with the news that he will do just that, starting with The Phantom Menace and continuing to issue the films as long as the demand is there (as an unbiased news source, we won’t suggest that this idea won’t make it past the first film, then). A hi-def Blu-ray collection of the films is still in the works for next year, after which they will all be made available again on disc, in 3D, after the theatrical reissues, which will be released annually from early 2012.
