The Hollywood Reporter has elaborated on details that legendary stop-motion animation and visual effects pioneer Ray Harryhausen is to receive a special award[1] at Sunday’s (26 June) British Academy of Film and Television Arts ceremony for his unique and outstanding contribution to cinema. Director John Landis will host the event, with a number of current FX filmmakers sending in their best wishes to the man that inspired them.
