Collider[1] is reporting that DreamWorks Animation is set to make a feature film based on the award-winning animated short Alma. The storyline of the short involved a little girl who is drawn into a mysterious toy store where she discovers a doll that looks just like her, not realizing that she’s walking into a dangerous trap. The animated film–which is to be directed by the short’s director, Rodrigo Blaas–will be executive produced by Guillermo del Toro, who’s serving as a consultant on several upcoming DreamWorks films, including How to Train Your Dragon II. Alma is currently without a release date.
