Animated shorts up for an Oscar

[1]The Wrap[2] has announced the contenders for Best Animated Short film at the 83rd Academy Awards. Pixar’s “Day and Night” is nominated, but the studio has not won an Oscar in this category since their 2002 win “For The Birds.” Another short “The Cow Who Wanted to be a Hamburger” animated by Bill Plympton and ran alongside his film Idiots and Angels is also up for the award. Warner Brothers also makes the list with their short “Coyote Falls,” starring Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner, scheduled to run in December with the new Yogi Bear film. Here is the complete list of nominated shorts:
