Peter Gabriel pulls out of Oscars

Peter Gabriel has withdrawn from performing at the Oscars after the Academy Award nominated singer was told he would perform his nominated track “Down to Earth” from Wall-E for only 65 seconds in a medley of the nominated songs, reports Variety[1]. In a video on his website[2], Gabriel said, “It’s a bit unfortunate. The songwriters are a very small part of the filmmaking process but we still work bloody hard and deserve (a bigger part in the ceremony).”
