The Hollywood Reporter[1] reports Nickelodeon has ordered a pilot for a new series based on Dreamworks Monsters vs. Aliens, DWA CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg said Tuesday. Katzenberg mentioned the pilot order at the 37th Annual J. P. Morgan Technology, Media and Telecom Conference in Boston in an appearance that was Webcast. The announcement comes at the heels of a just announced Halloween special, Monsters Vs. Aliens: Mutant Pumpkins From Outer Space, and would join The Penguins of Madagascar and Kung Fu Panda: The Series on Television. Katzenberg also confirmed two new TV specials, Scared Shrekless will be a Halloween special and a Kung Fu Panda holiday special, both are confirmed for NBC.
