Waltz with Bashir wins top honor at Tokyo Filmex

Variety[1] reports that Ari Folman’s Cannes competition player Waltz With Bashir won the grand prize at the ninth Tokyo Filmex Festival, which closed Sunday. According to the report, the feature was cited for “inventing a new cinematographic language.” Waltz With Bashir[2] will see a limited release in US theatres starting December 25.
