Sylvain Chomet picks Edinburgh for The Illusionist

Variety[1] has posted an article featuring Academy award nominee Sylvain Chomet and his new feature film The Illusionist. The article suggests how the Scottish capital seduced the French director and his wife in 2003 when they visited the place for the screening of his film The Triplets of Belleville at the Edinburgh International Film Festival. Based on an unproduced script by legendary French comic filmmaker Jacques Tati, The Illusionist tells the story of a performer who has to go further and further afield to survive as the old music halls disappear.
