New reviews a comin'…first up is He-Man 3

I’ve found myself in a bit of a review drive over the weekend and should be posting a handful of new comments on recent titles over the next week or so. In the meantime, today’s post is just a short one to point you in the direction, if you’re so inclined, of Rand’s take on He-Man And The Masters Of The Universe: Volume Three[1], the last of BCI’s boxed sets to feature the more recent 2000s version of the animated toy line. Despite remarking that getting through all the episodes of this younger-aimed show “may be a bit of a slog for more sophisticated viewers or those that have no special fondness for 1980s series”, the quality of the extras and packaging leaves our man impressed: “This has got to be one of the more handsome sets I have seen; the packaging and special features go above and beyond. I sure have no complaints about the video, we get the full 16:9 picture in all its anamorphically enhanced glory. While a few of BCI’s recent releases have been less spectacular than they had started out, they recapture glory with their three volumes of the 21st century He-Man“.

Stay tooned! – Ben.
