Frankenweenie resurrected?

Last Saturday, September 29, word arrived via Ain’t It Cool News that Disney would soon announce a new stop-motion project[1] from “the creative mastermind behind the majority of stop-motion pictures in the last decade.” Now Ain’t It Cool News offers an update[2] to that initial report, suggesting that the mysterious project is none other than a stop-motion feature based on Tim Burton’s 1984 short Frankenweenie.
