With Animated Views, animation historian Jerry Beck discusses[1] his work on The Woody Woodpecker and Friends Classic Cartoon Collection and Popeye the Sailor: 1933-1938, Volume 1, as well as some of his upcoming projects. In addition, Beck explains how classic animation is brought to DVD, while also sharing his thoughts on the current state of the animation industry.

Meanwhile, Animated News & Views’ own animation historian Ben Simon inspects The Woody Woodpecker and Friends Classic Cartoon Collection[2], serving a considerable amount of praise for the package. Likewise, Randall Cyrenne analyzes Popeye the Sailor: 1933-1938, Volume 1[3], finding a splendid set worth recommending.
