The Broadcast Film Critics Association hosted the 11th annual Critics’ Choice Awards Monday night, honoring the top actors and movies of 2005 in each of 19 categories. In the Best Animated Feature category Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit recorded a victory over other nominees Chicken Little, Corpse Bride, Howl’s Moving Castle, and Madagascar. As the Oscar season kicks into high gear, the award is often considered a steeping stone for films that might be top contenders for the Academy Award. Animated features failed to be nominated in any other category.
