The critical consensus seems to be just the opposite of the the original: “Impressive animation carries this sequel, as the story is not up to par”. Expect it to handily take the #1 spot for the weekend. Box Office Mojo predicts a $54.5 million opening – easily out-earning its nearest competitor.
