Disney teaming with Weta for animated features?

Television New Zealand[1] reports that Weta Workshop has held discussions with Walt Disney Studios regarding the creation of animated films. The article speculates that the movement into animated pictures is “likely” for the visual effects powerhouse, with Disney’s Animation Creative Director Dave Bossart calling the move a “natural evolution.”
