Some of this year’s most successful animated films are among the nominees for the upcoming People’s Choice Awards. In fact, all three nominees for “Favorite Family Movie” are animated: Cars, Ice Age: The Meltdown and Over the Hedge. Cars also scored a nomination for “Favorite Movie.” In addition, the music of the Pixar pic will have a strong presence at the ceremony, as the tunes “Real Gone” and “Life Is a Highway” are two of the three nominees for “Favorite Song from a Movie.” The latter track is likewise in the running for “Favorite Remake.” Live from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, The 33 Annual People’s Choice Awards will be broadcast on Tuesday, January 9 (9:00-11:00 PM, live ET/delayed PT).
