$10,000 prize up for grabs at animation festival

Federator Studios has teamed up with the Nicktoons Network to launch its third annual animation showcase. The newly renamed Nicktoons Network Animated Festival is accepting entries until May 31st of shorts no longer than 10 minutes in length and a $10,000 grand prize will be awarded to the best judged film reports Digital Animators[1]. Also new to this year’s competition is a “shorties” award for best submission by a minor. “We’ve set the bar high, but filmmakers from around the world keep surprising us with more innovative content,” said festival chairman Fred Seibert. The festival itself will be shown live from Nicktoons Studios in Burbank, CA beginning August 12th.
