“When are movies too intense for children?”; Narnia deleted sequence noticed

The Chicago Tribune[1] ponders the question “When are movies too intense for children?” In its investigation, the publication looks at such recent family fare as Chicken Little; The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe; and the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Interestingly, the Tribune mentions a scene from Narnia that may find its way into the “Deleted Scenes” section of the film’s DVD. Apparently, a display during Narnia’s battle sequence in which several characters are set on fire was cut from the film, in order for it to maintain a “PG” rating.
