According to The Daily Record, Alex Norton (The Count of Monte Cristo) has been cast as Edinburgh sea captain Sam Bellamy, while The Roxbury Register reveals stuntman Bobby Waldron will also have a role in the second and third films. In related news, Pirates actors have begun shying away from cameras, as they prepare physically for their roles in the sequels. Playing 19th century Chinese pirate Cheung Po Tsai, Chow Yun-Fat is currently sporting a thick mustache and a goatee, while Johnny Depp told USA Today after the Golden Globes last January 17th that “tomorrow, I start growing out my Pirates beard.” Pirates of the Caribbean 2 is scheduled to open July 7, 2006.
