LA SIGGRAPH presents The Making of Chicken Little

The Los Angeles Professional Chapter of ACM SIGGRAPH[1] is holding a special screening of Chicken Little in Disney Digital 3-D, followed by speakers from Walt Disney Feature Animation presenting the making of Chicken Little, with a focus on animation, effects, and the process of bringing the film to theaters in 3-D. The event takes place Thursday, November 17th, with check-in from 7:00-7:30pm. The event is free to LA SIGGRAPH members and $15 for non-members. More details follow:

See a screening of Chicken Little in Disney Digital 3-D, a new 3-D technology using digital projection and passive polarized glasses. Following the screening, speakers from Walt Disney Feature Animation will present the making of Chicken Little, with a focus on animation, effects, and the process of bringing the film to theaters in 3-D.

IMPORTANT: There will be no social hour at the event. Check-in will be from 7:00 P.M. to 7:30 P.M.
THE DOORS WILL CLOSE AT 7:30 P.M.!!

9:15 – 10:15 P.M. Presentation.

Directions

The theatre can be reached from most locations in and around Los Angeles by taking the 5 or the 405 Freeways to the 101 Hollywood Freeway. Take the 101 to the Highland/Hollywood Bowl exit and head south on Highland to Hollywood Boulevard. Turn right onto Hollywood Boulevard and the theatre is on your left.

Parking
The Hollywood & Highland Parking Facility (6801 Hollywood Blvd.) is located directly across the street from the El Capitan Theatre. Enter the parking structure from either Highland Ave. or Orange Dr. Parking will be at the rate of $2.00 for 4 hours with validation.

Membership/Fees
The event is free to LA SIGGRAPH members and $15 for non-members. New members who sign up on-site and pay the $35 annual membership fee (checks or cash only) do not have to pay the $15 fee.
