Madagascar DVD details

DVD Answers has the specs for the DVD debut of Madagascar. Hitting stores on the 15th of November, the single-disc release will show the film in 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen, with English and French Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround tracks. Bonus features, along with cover art, for the Madagascar DVD should be revealed shortly.

Malkovich joins Zemeckis’ Beowulf

At the Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland, John Malkovich mentioned that he has joined Anthony Hopkins and Robin Wright Penn for Robert Zemeckis’ Beowulf, reports Dark Horizons. Scheduled for a 2007 release, the film will incorporate the same motion-capture animation technology used by Zemeckis in The Polar Express.

The set will contain the first 26 episodes of the season, and will contain bonus features such as episode introductions. The set will be released on December 6th.

This anime film based on a comic from the creator of Astro Boy may be a modern masterpiece. It certainly has a visual flair at the very least, and this set carries some nice extras.
