Fandago[1] reports that select theaters (around 600-800 in all) will have a special sneak peak of Team America: World Police this Saturday, October 9th, somewhere in the area of 6:30 – 7pm. Check your local listings or Fandango for more information.

Those wondering if the movie is any good apparently do not need to worry, as early reviews for the film are very positive. Fox News[2] says, “Team America is certainly destined to be a cult classic, but it may have a rocky road getting to that status. Watching the movie means being slack-jawed for its 90-minute running time.” Meanwhile, in an extensive review, Quint at Ain’t It Cool News[3] declares, “As I understand it, Team America: World Police qualifies as an animated film under the Academy rules, so that means we may see this film face-off with The Incredibles and Shrek 2 at the Oscars this year. It’s certainly worthy of a nomination, and it will no doubt stand as some sort of technical milestone for puppeteering for quite a while.” Team America: World Police will burst into theaters on October 15, 2004.
